Associate Campus Pastor [Gulf Coast]
The Associate Campus Pastor supports the Campus Pastor in leading the overall health, culture, and execution of the local campus. This role provides hands-on leadership across Sunday operations, team development, and pastoral care. They help create a welcoming, spirit-led environment where people feel known, take next steps, and grow in their faith.
About This Role
The Associate Campus Pastor is a key leader responsible for helping drive the mission of Liberty Church at the campus level by supporting the Campus Pastor in both the spiritual and operational oversight of the church. This role leads volunteer teams, manages Sunday experiences, provides pastoral care, and ensures people are moving forward in their discipleship journey through next steps, groups, and personal connection. As a flexible, high-capacity leader, the Associate Campus Pastor often serves as a bridge between people and systems, helping to execute campus events, coach leaders, and uphold Liberty’s vision, values, and culture. They play a critical role in ensuring the campus thrives in both excellence and relational warmth, contributing to the overall growth and spiritual health of the church.
Responsibilities
Support the Campus Pastor in leading the campus vision, culture, and execution
Oversee Sunday operations and services (teams, logistics, etc.) as assigned
Lead or co-lead teams as assigned
Coach and develop leaders to thrive in their roles
Provide pastoral care through prayer, follow-up, and relational ministry
Serve as the on-site point person in the absence of the Campus Pastor
Assist in implementing church-wide initiatives and campaigns at the campus level
Track and follow up with guests, salvations, Next Steps and Team Liberty as needed
Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to campus health and alignment

Proven leadership experience in a church or ministry setting
Strong people skills—relational, empathetic, and dependable
Ability to teach, lead prayer, and speak confidently in public settings
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Alignment with Liberty Church’s vision, values, and ministry mode
Nice to Haves
Ministry credentialing or Bible college education
Experience leading in a multi-site church
Event coordination or Sunday logistics experience
Strong communication and writing skills
Familiarity with Planning Center, Microsoft or similar tools
Day To Day
Connect with new guests and follow up on connection cards
Lead or support weekend service execution
Coach leaders and help troubleshoot challenges
Assist in coordinating campus events or midweek gatherings
Engage with pastoral care needs (hospital visits, crisis moments, etc.)
Support the Campus Pastor in meetings, planning, and communication
Communicate with central staff as needed (creative, youth, worship, etc.)
