Downtown FAQ

Why did we start Liberty Downtown Campus? Simply put, because God said so. Our Senior Pastor Josh Lipscomb has always felt a stir in his spirit to start a Liberty location in the heart of our city. And so when the Lord said now is the time, he obeyed with a simple YES. The heart of Liberty Culture is to love God and love people. With that in mind and our love for Pensacola, it was a no-brainer to obey the soft whisper of the Lord and step out in faith. People matter to God and to us and our heart is to serve our community with that in mind – leading people to the love of Jesus Christ regardless of where they find themselves in their walk in life.

Service Times? Starting January 27th we start two new service times at 9 am & 11 am.

What’s the children’s ministry like? At Liberty Church, we believe that every child matters deeply to God. We believe that every child is full of potential and purpose and through Jesus all things are possible. Because of this, our desire is to partner with parents and communicate with every child the Good News of God’s love for them. Our Kids In Action Children’s Ministry will include dynamic teaching and engaging activities. Ministry for ages 0-5th grade will be provided at every Sunday. Our Crossover Students (ages 6th – 12th grade) will meet at various times.

Small Groups:  Liberty Church Groups are your source of friendship and support; by connecting you with God and each other in smaller environments that take place in the community. They are your key to developing connections with those who share your interests or people who are dealing with similar life issues. To get connected you can visit our Groups link or visit our Groups table in the atrium after service.

Outreach (local and global) Liberty’s mission is to extend God’s love and hope to the world. One of the ways that are carried out is through our A1:8 Outreach/Mission ministry. A1:8 is taken from Acts 1:8 which says “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria; and to the ends of the earth”. In light of this, we are committed as a church to proclaim and demonstrate the good news of Jesus Christ both locally in our local communities and around the world. We do this through various initiatives from feeding the homeless to partnering with strategic missionaries and organizations worldwide.
