“Worship is a divine privilege, and with that privilege comes a great responsibility to show generosity to others in the body of Christ through all we do.  We should never leave worship to the pastors and worship leaders.  We all need to learn to be excellent, extravagant worshipers, generous in our service to one another and generous in our expression of love toward one another.”

Joining the Worship Team

Thank you for considering to serve Liberty Church by being part of our worship team. Each and every ministry is an important part of the life of our church and no ministry is any more important than another. Certain ministries however have greater commitments and requirements due to their nature and purpose.

This is one of those ministries.

Be a Committed Member of Liberty Church

“Music ministry is not the right of the talented, but a privilege extended to the committed”. You must be committed to Liberty Church and it’s vision, actively involved as well as submitted to the pastors and worship leaders here.

Spiritual Maturity

This is a leadership-type ministry.  You will be seen as leaders and therefore must live your life as such – including facebook, Instagram and any other social media. Biblically, leaders are held to higher standards and if your actions or decisions could cause your leadership to be questioned – it could also cause us to question your ability to be part of this team.

Musical Expertise

A level of skill is needed in order to serve as part of the worship team and our audition process will establish how you fit in regards to this. You must also be skilled enough to follow a service that is led by the Spirit of God.  We don’t want to limit what God will do simply because we can’t handle it musically.

Time Commitment

Weekend services are where we serve primarily, therefore it’s where you need to plan on being in attendance. Currently, Sunday arrival time is 6:45am for a prompt 7:00am start.

We rehearse every Thursday from 7pm until 9pm, which is mandatory under most circumstances and we may also include additional rehearsals for special events, etc.

Support of Family

It is important that your immediate family members are willing to accept the necessary time commitment and be a support to you.

Family is important and comes before ministry. Should you find yourself in a family or personal situation that requires your attention or needs it to be the priority, we may ask that you take time for that by stepping down from the team and once that’s resolved you will be able to rejoin.

Ability to Flow with the Team

This is not an individual ministry, but a team ministry.  Just because you may be proficient with your instrument or voice does not mean this is the right ministry for you to be involved in. Worshiping and blending musically and vocally with our existing team is a major consideration.

We consider our Sound Engineers and Media Team as part of our worship team too, so you’ll need to be able to work with them also.

Abilty to Flow with Pastor's Vision and the Church's

Worship is a part of carrying out the vision of the church.  The worship team has the support of the pastor and the pastor must have the support of the worship team.  Unity is key in a worship service.  The pastor and worship team work together to carry out the full vision of the Lord.
